Raja Yoga

"Every thought, feeling, perception, or memory you may have causes a modification,
or ripple, in the mind. It distorts and colors the mental mirror.
If you can restrain the mind from forming into modifications,
there will be no distortion, and you will experience your true Self.

The 5 Levels of Manifesting

When the movie The Secret came out, it introduced the concept of manifesting to the masses. Suddenly people were walking about thinking, “positive thoughts, positive thoughts!”. However, The Secret is just the tip of the iceberg. Those who stopped at this level of manifesting never had a chance to discover their true potential in just how they could create their own universe. In this video, I’m going to share my experiences in discovering the different levels of manifesting that go beyond the Secret and mere “Positive Thinking”

What are the 5 Levels?

  1. Mild Awareness
  2. Specific Intent
  3. Release of Past Programming
  4. State of Allowing
  5. Personal Bubble of Reality
In this video, I’ll explain the 5 levels and how they relate to some of the most popular books and teachers in the mind-power genre.

Repost from Dumb Little Man - The World is your Oyster

How to Tackle Adversity Like an Oyster

A few days back while I was walking to school, I felt a piece of gravel or pebble that found its way into my shoe and prodded against my sole whenever I made a step forward.

As I walked on, I thought about how oysters produce pearls to alleviate the “discomfort” that trespassing particles assert on their soft tissues. According to HowStuffWorks.com, whenever a foreign substance finds its way between the oyster’s mantle and shell, the mantle will secrete layers of nacre to cover the irritant particle. As the layers of nacre consequently cover each other, a pearl is eventually formed.

It's funny. The world is full of little lessons and solutions. Most of us, however, are too busy or too lazy to notice. Take this as an example. From the story of the oyster and the pearl, we can draw 3 life lessons from them.
  • Even with a “shell”, no one is invulnerable
Your “shell” can be defined as anything that offers you protection and a sense of security. For some, it could be their jobs and their paychecks, for others it could be their influence among their peers and the people around them, or even their dreams and ambitions.

While oysters do possess shells which shield them from the threats in the external environment, foreign objects and particles can still seep through the gaps between the shells. Likewise, even though we may have a security blanket and even plans that take contingencies into consideration, these “shells” are still not bulletproof. Even with the best of plans, one will still experience adversity in life.
  • When adversity hits, it’s your response that matters
When a foreign particle intrudes into the internal regions of the oyster, the oyster responds by secreting nacre onto it to prevent its sharp edges from abrading its soft tissue.

In the same way, when adversity hits you, you have a choice. You can be ignorant and let it damage and bother you continuously, or you can embrace it and deal with it in a positive and constructive way. Learn from adversity, don't bottle it up.
  • Generate value out of adversity
After the accumulation of consecutive layers of nacre, what was once a piece of intruding particle is now a valuable and sought-after pearl.

It is one thing to face adversity and try to get it over and done with as quickly as possible. But it’s another to recognize and to seize the treasure within the adversity.

Each hardship, failure, setback or resistance has the capacity to toughen and sharpen our character each time we encounter and embrace them. Furthermore, the valuable lessons we learn from these experiences not only help us in our future endeavors, but they can also serve to instruct and inspire others who are going through a similar journey.
All in all, the reality of adversities is that they can induce stress, trauma, discomfort or disappointment in all of us. But we do have a choice. We can allow adversity to pass us by without learning much from it, or we can deliberately choose to make the best use of adverse situations – embracing them, learning from them, and sharing those lessons with others. What’s your choice? What is your pearl?dumblittleman.com - how-to-tackle-adversity-like-oyster

ULTIMATE HEALING COURSE by Peter Aziz, shamanic healer....

This course is a combination of the most powerful healing systems, producing a synergy far greater than the sum of its parts. This produces an incredible tool for removing the blocks to anything you want, be it health, wealth, love, spiritual power etc. It draws upon several technologies: Body electronics, which is a point holding system that releases deep rooted emotions and beliefs from the DNA; Gtummo (Tibetan heat yoga), which raises the kundalini in a safe way.

In Tibet, this is used to cure medical conditions; Sedona technique, which teaches one how to release all the difficult emotions which come up; Avatar, which puts you in the position of creator of your reality, Tenaga Dalam, a powerful Indonesian magickal healing system, and Tethatu, another powerful magickal healing system. The synergy of these systems can remove all inner causes of problems, and totally heal physical conditions.

Function is restored to organs, tumours dissolve, and nerve pathways are restored to paralysed areas of the body. Furthermore, the inner transformation occurs at a very deep level, producing miraculous changes in the lives of participants.

In the 6 day intensive you will work in small groups, focussing on your transformation for several hours a day, clearing the glandular system, nervous system and spine of all its old conditioning. Nutritional preparation is vital, so please book in advance so that you can be sent the nutritional program.

This years course will be held at The Stone Barn on Dartmoor, where we have a quiet camping field, a marquis and a barn with wood burning stove, cooking facilities and showers all to ourselves. We are in quiet countryside near the river dart with beautiful woodland walks, undisturbed.

Dates: 11th – 16th July 2011.
Venue: The Stone Barn, Holne, Devon, TQ13 7LS.
Cost: £275

Cranial Course: Once the glandular system and spine are clear, the kundalini can rise into the head. A further 6 days are spent clearing the deepest layers of conditioning from the cranial bones. We no longer work through memories one by one, but by moving into direct alignment with our higher selves, are able to release all our stored memories at once.

Cranial work is therefore more powerful and intense. Once the cranial bones are restored to their perfect configuration, they act as an amplifier, amplifying ones power of thought projection up to 10,000 times. This also restructures the pterygoid hamulus, a tiny bone that is damaged in most people, that acts as a psychic antenna. This work therefore greatly accelerates psychic and spiritual growth. Because of the great power awakened, it can be dangerous to do this work on people who still harbour negative patterns, so the cranial course is only open to those who complete the first week.

Dates: 18th – 23rd July 2011.
Venue: The Stone Barn, Holne, Devon.
Cost : £275

Bookings: Peter Aziz, 20 Furlong Close, Buckfast, Devon.TQ11 0ER

The Qabbalah

For a good introduction to Qabalah, kaballah, etc
Read
Dion Fortune, an initiate of Alpha et Omega, wrote the seminal book The Mystical Qabalah, widely considered one of the best general introductions to modern Hermetic Qabbalah.

Tree of Life

Hermetic Qabalah (From the Hebrew קַבָּלָה "reception", usually transliterated with a 'Q' rather than a 'K' or a 'C', to distinguish it from Jewish Kabbalah and Christian Cabbalah) is a Western esoteric and mystical tradition. It is the underlying philosophy and framework for magical societies such as the Golden Dawn, Thelemic orders, mystical societies such as the Builders of the Adytum and the Fellowship of the Rosy Cross, and is a precursor to the Neopagan, Wiccan and New Age movements.[1] The Hermetic Qabalah is the basis for Qliphothic Qabala as studied by left hand path orders, such as the Typhonian Order.
Hermetic Qabalah draws on a great many influences, most notably: Jewish Kabbalah, Western astrology, Alchemy, pagan religions, especially Egyptian and Greco-Roman (the latter being from which the term "Hermetic" is derived), neoplatonism, gnosticism, the Enochian system of angelic magic of John Dee and Edward Kelley, hermeticism, rosicrucianism, Freemasonry, tantra and the symbolism of the tarot. Hermetic Qabalah differs from the Jewish form in being a more admittedly syncretic system, however it shares many concepts with Jewish Kabbalah.

Footprints in the Chamber - Towards a Quantum Qabbala by Fra.: +0-

The Qabbala has through the ages been used as a directory towards
the understanding of the universe and man`s relationship to it.
Since former Aeons of magick have had their perceptions rooted in
the observance of simple cause and effect relationships, the Qabbala
itself, having attained its nascence in the earlier traditions, was
unfortunately bogged down by this limited apprehension of the
universe. Here mathematics as used in a more or less Pythagorean
context provide a sort of key with which to approach the
          unfathomable nature of human consciousness.

To this very day there are groups which still adhere to and openly
practice the more traditional ramifications of Qabbalistic
principles which are still firmly rooted in the mire of Nineteenth
          Century Newton-sewed-it-all-up-there-are-no-more-mysteries physics.
But of course, owing to the leaps and bounds acquired by a very
unpredictable but consistent quantum model of reality as observed in
our laboratories, this simplistic view is necessarily obsolete. We
no longer live, we have learned (if indeed we ever did) in a simple
cause and effect universe where the source can always be gleaned
from observable effect. For the same reasons, Newtonian-based magic
must give way to a more quantum model. Newton`s apple must now take
into consideration Heisenberg`s Uncertainty Principle. The secret
wisdom must follow suit towards quantumization.

Another unfortunate tendency of some modern practioners of Qabbala
is to continue to regard everything from the standpoint of the
Demiurge, Yahweh, which of course is the basis of the now obsolete
(and dangerous) Judeo-Christian foundation of religious thought
which has held western civilization in its thrall for about two
thousand years. Personally I find it amazing that modern
practioners, who despite no real Semitic disposition still practice
an unmistakably orthodox Jewish mysticism. It was Aleister Crowley,
that great Qabbalistic agent provocateur, who initiated the process
of liberating the Qabbala from its otherwise Judaic orientation.
(This is not anti-semitism but a necessary step towards individual
development. It must also be stated that a Qabbala had been in use
centuries earlier by the Egyptians. The Jews merely adopted it to
their own religious precepts. They didn`t invent it. The actual
origin most likely predates Egyptian history.)

Crowley emphasized that the enlightened magician must, after careful
study and application of his knowledge, develop his own Qabbalistic
framework. By virtue of this the magician has arrived at a more
chaotic paradigm in opposition to a purely empirical view. Crowley,
by adapting the Qabbala to a Thelemic context initiated that first
leap forward into the quantum age. Thus, the foundation for a more
          quantum/chaotic system was lain.

Quantum Immortality...

Do We Actually Live Forever?

An Explanation of Quantum Immortality

From the dawn of mankind, the peoples of the world have questioned what happens after death. Although some feel that it is a permanent end, some religious beliefs such as those of the ancient Egyptians and the Christians, hold that there is an afterlife, and that when we die, we are transcended. Other religions, such as Hinduism and Jainism, hold that we are reincarnated as something else after our deaths. This article brings to light another possibility: that we cannot experience death.

Introduction to quantum immortality
I'm sure you're quite excited to see how it's possible we could technically live forever. But, before we begin discussing what quantum immortality is, let us preface this with some basic information about the physics of immortality. I am by no means a quantum physicist, and will thus only describe the basics of the highly complex world of quantum mechanics. As you may know, an atom, the basic building block of all things around us, is composed of a nucleus with electrons hurdling around it. Werner Heisenberg postulated that it was impossible to know both the direction and the position of an electron at any given time, and this has thus been coined as the uncertainty principle.

Heisenberg believed that everything in nature is in a wavefunction of possibilities, and, based on the uncertainty principle, particles' wavefunctions collapse upon being observed. That is, what a particle's position actually is is not determined until you observe it. This is known as the Copenhagen interpretation, and is the most popular interpretation of quantum mechanics.

However, a second interpretation known as the many-worlds interpretation states that, rather than the wavefunction collapsing, the outcome seen by the observer is relative, and the universe at that point splits, where another possible outcome or other outcomes occur in another universe not seen by the observer.

If the latter, many-worlds, interpretation is true, we can then derive the quantum suicide experiment.

Quantum suicide experiment
Let us suppose that a man is holding a gun to himself that is hooked up to a spinning particle. The gun will, at every moment, detect whether that particle is spinning clockwise or counterclockwise. When he pulls the trigger, if the particle spins clockwise, the gun will fire, and he will be dead. However, if the particle spins counterclockwise, the gun will not fire, and he will survive.

The many-worlds interpretation states that, each time the gun is fired, the universe splits into two, one where he dies, and the other where he survives. In the universes where he survives, the man will be unaware of his own death.

Quantum immortality
From the quantum suicide experiment, we can then derive how it would be possible to live forever. Assuming the many-worlds interpretation is the correct interpretation of quantum mechanics, there is always going to be a chance the gun will not fire. The argument for quantum immortality is that the observer will always be able to perceive at least one universe in which he is still alive, and thus that it is impossible for the observer to ever witness his own death.

Arguments against quantum immortality
However, some scientific critics argue that quantum immortality cannot feasibly be true. Max Tegmark, a professor at MIT who helped develop the quantum suicide experiment, argues that people have a conscious decline as they die that makes it impossible to create a smooth transition to immortality from an alternate universe in which the person would die.

David Lewis, a philosopher, takes a less scientific and more cautionary approach to disproving quantum immortality. He stated that an observer who lives forever will most likely find himself in horrible condition. Being unable to die while being horribly disfigured would be miserable, he says, and as such it's best to think that quantum immortality is not true.

Conclusion
Regardless of how "out-there" it is, there is now some scientific support for the idea of how to live forever. Although it may be bizarre and, as David Lewis would say, unfortunate, quantum immortality is certainly something to consider.
