Javanese Magick – Origin and Specialities Including Magical Protection

Why Use Javanese Magick?

Having travelled the world and learned many ancient magickal traditions, Javanese magick is the most powerful art I have ever come across. With the intense changes that are upon us, this is the kind of power we really need right now – particularly in the realms of magical protection.

Origin

I want to start with its brief history. This is something I have pieced together from Kahunas of Hawaii, Berbers of Africa and Javanese Sorcerers. Where these tie together, is that they all share the same history; they all came out of Egypt.
When Egypt was invaded by the Greeks and Romans, 11 of the magickal tribes left and went overseas. A twelfth tribe remained in Africa and became the Berbers. The other 11 tribes first settled in Java, and later moved further on to Hawaii, where they became the Kahunas. Their pronunciation of Hawaii is actually Hava-ee-ee, which means little Java.
Java has kept up a very powerful magickal tradition. More recently it is largely Islamic, but even this has been adopted to reclaim more of the ancient Egyptian knowledge. They practice an Islamic magick known as Al-Hikmah. The magick there now consists of a curious mix of Javanese and Arabic prayers. Arabic was the first written language of Egypt. Much of Islam has been adapted from this ancient Egyptian knowledge. The 99 names of Allah are similar to the 99 divine names of Pa Ashetat, (The Prayer) in Kemetic (an ancient Egyptian language). However, whereas most Islamic countries view magick as a sin, the Javanese adepts use the knowledge to further their magick.

Specialities

I will cover a few basic specialities of Javanese magick:

Invulnerability or Magical Protection

Magical Protection using Javanese Magick Tenaga Dalam
The first is invulnerability. This can be demonstrated against sharp weapons, fire, poison and even bullets. This is a basic need on Java, as knife fights are quite common. Through the practice of Tenaga Dalam, the body is fortified with magickal force, so machetes and other sharp instruments bounce off without leaving a scratch.

This has two areas of interest in our modern world:
1. Martial Arts
Tenaga Dalam is a great addition to any martial art, as it gives a great inner strength, invulnerability and assures victory in conflicts. As well as invulnerability, advanced practice can give superhuman strength, speed, intuition, and can help master any martial art by drawing on the spirits of past masters.
2. General Safety
While we don’t experience so many knife attacks here, life has many other dangers these days: radiation, electromagnetic pollution, environmental poisons, con-artists, accidents. I have found that Tenaga Dalam adapts to our needs. When I first used it, false friends and confidence tricksters where quickly flushed out. Students of mine have reported being totally unscathed from serious accidents. It totally fortifies the body and energy field against poisons, drugs and radiation, as well as magickal attacks and other negative energies. There are very real fears these days about possible forced vaccination, irradiation and mind control. Tenaga Dalam can neutralize the effects of all these forms of abuse. Apart from magical protection, it also develops great charisma, which is useful in both personal and business relationships.

Conjuring of Khodams

The second speciality is the conjuring of Khodams. A Khodam is basically a spiritual helper, usually considered to be between the Djinn (known as genies in English) and angels, but the name seems to apply to any magickal servitor. Because of the Islamic influence, these are most commonly Hafadoh angels; a kind of personal guardian angel, but can include Djinn, a local forest elf known as Orang Bunian, and Dragons. They work with the Tenaga Dalam to increase one’s magical protection and invulnerability. The advantage is that not only are you impervious to various threats, but the Khodam is highly intelligent and will guide you away from problems and towards success. They are also magickal allies, so will add power to all magick you perform, and improve your magickal and psychic development. Having a Khodam as a helper is a must for any Sorcerer.

Other Magickal Allies – Tigers and Dragons

Another popular spirit helper is the tiger. Shamans on Java like to have a tiger spirit guardian, as it gives a very strong charismatic and authoritative presence. These powers can be passed on through an initiation called Senggoro Macan.
The Strongest type of Ally the Sorcerer can gain is a Dragon. These are a lot more powerful than angels. There are a few kinds of dragon known on Java; the most popular magickal Dragon being the Nogososro. It takes a higher degree of initiation to work with these. One of the most powerful initiations is the Makuto Nogososro, meaning Crown of the Dragon. It is said that whoever has the Dragon’s Crown will be powerful. The Nogososro is a great source of magickal power, and is used to defeat other Sorcerers and to take and absorb their powers.  It is believed to overcome any other power. This brings us to a third speciality; cursing.

Cursing

With much competition amongst Sorcerers, and magickal battles, both attack and defence are well developed in Javanese magick. Although adepts in Java generally have a concept of karma, it is considered OK to use one’s power to destroy tyrants who are causing suffering. There are various forms of attack which can destroy business, cause sickness or death, destroy the mind, or even make buildings crumble and fall apart. The traditional Black Dragon Curse will make one’s victim fall gravely ill and eventually die. The Islamic power of the Karomah Kabah can strike your victim blind, dumb or lame, and can decay and destroy buildings and vehicles.

Love Magick

The fourth strongest magick you see on Java is the love magick. There are many kinds of love spell, and these can be extremely powerful and persuasive, even when it probably isn’t such a good idea. You see the kind of legendary power that the love-lorn dream of; spells that totally obsess the mind of the target, so they come to you quickly, almost a willing slave. Some spells actually use Djinn to possess the victim’s mind. These have an extremely hypnotic effect. Some of the Islamic spells are safer, and draw in love more naturally, without resorting to such control. They work more slowly, but they do work.

Other Javanese Magick Spells

Beyond these, there are spells to heal relationships, protect ones home from thieves, increase sales (if you have a shop or business), and draw wealth in many ways. Javanese Magick Course
I run a series of weekend workshops on Javanese Magick giving these powerful initiations.
Full details can be found on Javanese Magick Course and Advanced Javanese Magick Course
I also offer some of the Javanese Magick empowerments remotely.

These are the incredible images of a daredevil boldly gliding with a trapeze artist dangling from his parachute.
The professional circus performer and paragliding pilot performed gravity-busting acrobatics over the Lake Annecy in Geneva.
The astonishing act sees fearless trapeze entertainer Roxane Giliand take to the skies before dropping down 12ft below pilot Gill Schneider with no shoes or helmet on.

A great and mighty sorcerer!

How do you see the world?

I have heard that you see differently than most people due to your extrasensory perception, so how and what do you see differently from the rest of us?
Of course it is always hard to answer this question because I have very little idea how other people see. That's part of the beauty of individual perspective. You and I could be calling the exact same color yellow when in reality we are seeing drastically different colors but calling it by the same name. I did not figure out until I was in elementary school that other people were not seeing the same things that I was seeing. My parents were alarmed by my hypersensitivity and took me to doctors. But those doctors did not see my extrasensory talents as talents, they saw them as disorders. I was diagnosed with sensory integration disorder (both sensory over sensitivity and sensory modulation disorder). And it was not until I was 24 that I began talking to people to try to actually decipher what I perceive that is different from how/what other people perceive. Here is (to my current standing) what I perceive that is unlike how others perceive…
  1. I see everything that is, not as if it is a solid object but as if it is a "vibration". To me, the amplitude and frequency of energy, is what determines how (in what form) that energy will express itself. Everything in the universe is made of moving energy (what I call vibration). And everything that vibrates imparts or impacts information. This "vibration" is what determines in what form energy will manifest. Physical things are just expressions, so solid objects are more or less an illusion that I do not have.
  2. I see Auras, which are thought forms both transmitting and receiving information to and from the physical structure they are associated with (such as a body). To me, an aura exhibits shapes, colors, textures, hues, sounds, patterns and emanates light. Any or all of these characteristics of an aura tell me valuable information about the physical person or thing the aura is associated with. They can at times tell me a nearly complete story of who you are. An aura will respond to a thought and change its characteristics to match that thought. They are also highly receptive to interaction, so I can use my own energetic field to manipulate the energy fields of others to help them to heal (like practitioners of Reiki are taught to do). Energy fields are as easy to feel for me with my hands as water is to most people.
  3. I see thought forms. Which are thoughts which have enough inherent energy that they becomes a configuration, shape or visual appearance and may manifest in a non static way. There are traditionally three types of thought forms: #1. Energy which takes the image of the thinker, #2. Energy which takes the image of a material object, and #3. Energy which takes a form entirely its own, expressing its qualities in the matter which it draws round it. So, I can see and interact and communicate with “Entities” (what you call ghosts), “Guides”, “Angels”. It is also due to this ability that I can and have acted as a “spirit medium”.
  4. I can see life paths. This basically means I can see the future. But future is not decided. What I am seeing is what outcome is a match to the current state (which doesn’t often change, because thought patterns are habitual). Information present within energy in its potential state expresses itself based on thought/intention which is a preliminary thing to physical structure. So, if a person were able to change their thoughts, their entire physical reality would shift and so would their “future”. Because of this, I often see and emotionally feel collective future as well. I have prophetic visions and dreams. In my past I have had trouble with this, even to the point of having seizures in the days leading up to a natural disaster, man made catastrophe or a war.
  5. I have a hyper sensitive sense of hearing. I can hear tectonic plates moving. I’m sure you’re a familiar with how the tide is pulled by the gravity of the moon. What people don’t understand is that the gravity of the moon affects everything, not just water, it pulls at the earth too, and I can hear it. Full moons are very, very loud to me. I hate the sound of cotton balls (a sound I gather many people can’t hear). People talking in other rooms which would be inaudible to many, is not inaudible to me. I have hearing which is able to pick up the extremely high frequency of thought forms so I have clairaudience. In other words I can hear thought forms.
  6. I do not see negative space (what many people call air). Instead, everything looks like energy with no spaces in between. Every energy field bleeds into every other energy field creating one huge existence of inter-being. And because of this, I perceive how everything that is, effects everything else that is. Metaphorically, a pebble dropped into this energy that makes up all that is would create ripples that affected the entire field. The only reason humans seldom consciously perceive it that way is because sensory organs (like sight and taste and touch) give people the impression of objects being solid and finite with a boundary of separation between them and other things.
  7. To most people, skin is a finite boundary where the body stops. To me, the skin is a certain point of density within the energy that is making up a human. I can see impressions of what is below the skin. So, when I meet a person, I am able to see their bones, organs, nerves, veins etc. I am also able to see the energy channels within a body (which have been labeled by some as chakras and meridians). So, I can see where a person’s energy is not flowing properly and what physical ailments they have. I can also often see the vibration that is leading to the “WHY” they have the particular energy blockage or physical ailment.
  8. Because I literally see vibrations, I have the ability to attain impressions from a physical object, such as an object’s history or the emotions associated with it. In myself, this particular ability manifests most often in images I get off of the object and in emotions I feel directly as a result of the vibration I am picking up from the object.
  9. I astral plane very easily and instantaneously. I used to have the problem of doing this spontaneously. I had no control of it at first. To “astral plane” is the act of consciously or subconsciously shifting consciousness from the perception of physical to the perception of non physical which is unlimited by distance and time. Because of this, I am sometimes able to practice remote viewing.
  10. I have an open and conscious connection to my higher self. I did not lose awareness of this connection or ability to communicate with my higher self during childhood (even when I chose to ignore it). Because of this, I did not lose memory of what WAS before I came into this life and what WILL BE upon death. I came into this life endowed with objective universal truth, much of which certain subjective, individual truths are in direct opposition of.
  11. If I calm my mind, I have access to the Akashic record. The Akashic record is the totality of information about all that ever was and is, which is encoded in the non physical plane of existence, also referred to as the mind of god. It is a collection of unlimited information which can be accessed from the state of Source-like consciousness such as when one is in meditation, while astral planning or under hypnosis. Accessing the Akashic record allows for omniscience. This means I (depending on my state) have accurate awareness of past lives. It is a form of retro cognition.
  12. I can perceive these same things I perceive with humans, with animals as well. So, I can commune with animals and the direct physical language barrier does not prohibit connection or understanding.
  13. I have Synaesthesia. A neurologically-based condition in which stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to automatic, involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway.
I think for a brief overview, that about covers it.

Heart that Heals

The Healing Power of the Human Heart

A Hathor Planetary Message through Tom Kenyon

This Hathor Message is pure sound.

In other words, there are no words in this Hathor Planetary Message. It is pure Hathorian sound.

The Hathors’ primary mode of communication and method for imparting transformational information has always been through their catalytic sound work.  These pure sound-forms activate non-ordinary states of body and mind that we can use to access the multi-dimensional realities of our existence.

That, in a nutshell, is why their sounds are so potent.

Directly experiencing our multi-dimensional nature is not only freeing to the mind and heart, it can rapidly impart new insights, heighten creativity and inspire spiritual courage.

You can find a direct link to this sound meditation at the bottom of this page. You can also find a link to this sound meditation in the Listening section of our website (www.tomkenyon.com).

This particular “sound message” was recorded live during a one-day Hathor Intensive that took place in Istanbul on April 13, 2013.  During this sound meditation our focus was in the heart chakra, and I was surprised to sense that the sounds were emanating into many underground passages that stretched underneath the vast city of Istanbul. It was my clear sense that these sounds were being broadcast from Istanbul to the rest of the world, due to both the geographical location of this ancient city and its unique energetic qualities, which bridge both Europe and Asia.

At one point during the sound meditation, I had the strong psychic impression that I was being greeted by a host of Earth Protectors who resided in the underground passages. Every one of them, without exception, informed me that the world was about to undergo a radical transformation. What they meant by this exactly was not made clear to me, but the changes will be very disruptive to our human way of life.

My feeling from these ancient beings was that humanity must face and transform its unresolved emotional wounding if it is to survive the passage into higher dimensionality.

Thus, the purpose of this meditation is to integrate aspects of yourself that you have shunned or disowned. In psychology, this type of emotional displacement is called the shadow, and un-owned shadow material can contaminate our inner life as well as our outward actions in the world.

The Hathors are adamant that we need to transform our own shadow material, both individually and collectively, as we move upward in consciousness. They also contend that our collective shadow is being acted out at an alarming rate, and in ways that threaten not only human survival, but the survival of other life forms on this planet as well.

In spite of the precarious position that humanity is now facing, the Hathors believe that the human heart (i.e., the heart chakra) has an innate ability to heal and transform our individual emotional lives no matter how difficult our past history and emotional traumas may have been. Not only this, but they are of the opinion that healing our emotional lives has a subtle yet far-reaching affect on the collective heart (i.e., our collective emotional tone) as well, which can and does affect our collective destiny.

I have listened to the recording of this sound meditation several times, and I experience a healing response in my heart chakra every time. The Hathors have asked me to post this on the website as soon as possible. And this is a sign, I think, of just how urgent and dire the Hathors consider our current situation to be.

Listening Suggestions

1) One way of listening to this sound meditation is to simply focus your attention in the area of your heart chakra, which is located in the center of your chest behind the sternum. Just keep your mental focus in this area and listen to the sounds. When your mind wanders, bring it back to your heart chakra and the sound patterns.

2) Another way of listening to this sound meditation is to imagine that a small version of you is inside your heart chakra. This shift in self-identity will create a more powerful effect for some people. Depending upon what you are dealing with, you might find your self-image inside the heart chakra standing, sitting or lying down. In some instances when you feel highly vulnerable, you might find yourself curled up in a fetal position in your heart chakra. Just keep the focus of your attention on this sense of you that is inside your heart chakra, in whatever forms it may take. Don’t be surprised if the form inside your heart changes as you move through different types of emotional material.

3) Some people will find it more powerful to breathe into their heart chakra when listening to the sounds. If you work with this method, sigh into your exhales, and let the sighs come out from your heart chakra. In other words, make an audible sigh with each exhale.

A more advanced form of this method is to allow yourself to feel the movement of energy that emanates from your heart chakra as you sigh into each exhale and to follow this movement of energy with your awareness as the energy from your heart chakra circulates throughout your entire body.

My personal suggestion is to try all three methods and choose the one(s) that work best for you. You might also find it helpful to have a notebook to write down your impressions, feelings, images and insights right after you complete a listening session. This is because the state of consciousness generated by this sound piece can generate a type of waking-dream, and like dreams they can sometimes impart significant insights, but also like dreams, they are fleeting in nature and easily forgotten.

I think of this sound meditation as a type of archaeological tool. You can use it to uncover hidden passages in your heart and to retrieve treasures of consciousness that have been obscured to your sight. And you can, just as importantly, bring to the light of your conscious awareness “things” that have been hidden by the darkness of unconsciousness.

You undertake this task for yourself. But the benefits of freeing yourself from emotional imprisonment and constraint can, and will, benefit your fellow human beings and all life as well.

Information Unrelated to this Message

For those of you who have studied with me in the past, and for those of you contemplating working with me in the future, I thought it might be a good idea to let you know my intentions around workshops. Beginning next year, I am changing my way of doing the Work, and there will be fewer and fewer opportunities to be in the live sound-fields that are a crucial part of my seminars.

The live sound-fields that I create during workshops are fields of subtle energy that are generated when I access other dimensions of consciousness. While recordings of these sounds certainly capture some of the energetics that are released when I channel other dimensional worlds, the full impact of these energy-fields can only be experienced in the moment when I am actually channeling the sounds and in the space where it is occurring.

There are only three workshops scheduled in the U.S. this year.

The Leviathan, will be held in the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre at Symphony Space on Broadway in New York City on May 25th. In the course of this one-day event, I will take us through many sound journeys using numerous mystical traditions as a springboard into the mystery of the transcendent Self. This event promises to be a truly life changing experience due to the juxtaposition of so many sound journeys. You can read more about this event in the Calendar on our website.

You can buy tickets online from Symphony Space by using this link:

http://www.symphonyspace.org/event/7871-the-leviathan-a-sound-journey-with-tom-kenyon

You may also reach the Symphony Space box office at 212-864-5400, Tues – Sun from 1 PM until 6 PM. All online ticket purchases are subject to a per-ticket fee of $2.75, in addition to a $3.00 handling fee. Symphony Space takes American Express, Master Card, Visa and Discover. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable from either Symphony Space or from Tom Kenyon. Symphony Space sells tickets online only or at their box office. We do not register for this event in our office.

Note: This is the only event on the East Coast this year, and I am not sure if, and when, I will return to this area for another event.

In addition, to the New York event, there will be two three-day workshops in the Pacific Northwest area in October.

On October 4th -6th I will lead a Shamanic Buddhist Retreat on Orcas Island, called Entering the Mandala. And on October 25th  – 27th I will teach The Art of Egyptian High Alchemy in Seattle, Washington. You can read further information about these unique events in the Calendar section of our website (www.tomkenyon.com).

If you wish to immerse yourself in the live sound fields that I create during public workshops, I encourage you to consider attending one of these events.

Note from Judi: Tom is not saying he is not going to teach anymore, but he is making it clear that he will teach less and less, which means there will be fewer opportunities to be in the live sound field of his voice, and there is nothing in the world like being in the live sound field of his voice. No CD can ever capture that. So if you’ve always wanted to hear Tom live, I would move mountains to attend one of these events. The live sound field is the most transformative, healing experience I’ve ever had. Hands down. It’s life changing!

Full Moon, you saw me standing alone in the Global Chaos!

FULL MOON LUNAR ECLIPSE IN SCORPIO (6 degrees) Thursday, April 25, 2013, 12:58 pm PDT and 03:58 pm EDT.
We spiral through space, immersed in an ever-changing flow of frequencies. Twice a year, the Sun, Moon, and Earth align precisely enough to form an eclipse, interrupting the billions of watts of solar radiation streaming onto our planet every second. During an eclipse, energy matrices dissolve, new codes are downloaded, and consciousness is reconfigured. Eclipses are thus extra-potent New and Full Moons, signaling major endings and beginnings. This spring, we have three eclipses in a row, which, along with the ongoing UranusPluto square, provide exceptionally strong tailwinds for transformation.
Eclipses occur in relation to the lunar nodes, the points in space where the Moon’s orbit intersects the Earth’s path around the Sun. The North Node, where the Moon ascends as it crosses the ecliptic, points toward the future, identifying what will help us to evolve into greater consciousness and connection. The South Node, where the Moon descends across the ecliptic, denotes the past, signifying the patterns and beliefs holding us back. When the Sun is close to the South Node (as is the case for the three eclipses this spring), we experience greater pressure to release long-standing patterns, personally and collectively.
All Full Moons bring light to the dark, to what is now ripe to be seen and transformed. This one highlights the archetypes of Taurus and Scorpio, the polarities of security and evolution, self-sufficiency and sharing, acquiring and relinquishing. As the first earth sign, Taurus seeks to develop a healthy relationship to the physical world — to one’s body, senses, and resources — and to live in alignment with one’s own values. Ruled by Venus, Taurus also represents the development of self-esteem. Not only is the Sun in Taurus, but Mars, Venus, and the South Node as well, calling us back to our senses, to what feeds our hearts and souls. As in the Aries New Moon, Mars is again close to the Sun, spurring us to take action. Venus is continuing the previous New Moon’s theme of greater balance between the feminine and masculine.
In Taurus, we discover what we must have; in Scorpio, what we must leave behind. Change is exciting and scary as we go into the dark, the unknown; the fear of loss makes it difficult to remember that something else will come in place of what we lose. Fear aborts the expansion of consciousness faster and more effectively than anything else. Fear makes us myopic; it constricts our vision so that we stay with what is familiar, even when it is unsatisfying and unsustainable. Mars is the traditional ruler of both Aries and Scorpio, signifying the courage required to move forward. The Moon’s proximity to Saturn and the North Node in Scorpio necessitates that we take a realistic look at our lives and release what we have outgrown — a job, a relationship, a place, a way of life — anything out of balance and out of integrity. Boundaries, commitments, and goals are clarified when Saturn is opposed by the Sun on April 28 and then by Mars on April 30. Tune into your feelings and intuition for answers; a grand water trine between the Moon, Neptune, and Ceres helps us to get in touch with what we need now.
Now is time to explore alternatives that were not available before. It is time to bridge the gap of separateness through group-cooperation, and to cultivate a passionate search for new values, which at any level, promises a more abundant life for all. This lunar eclipse asks us to reevaluate how we live, how we do business, and how we relate to each other. “Try not to resist the changes that come your way. Instead let life live through you. And do not worry that your life is turning upside down. How do you know that the side you are used to is better than the one to come?” (Rumi)
Some excerpts are from The Mountain Astrologer by Stephanie Austin.
A Full Moon symbolizes the fulfillment of the seeds planted at a previous New Moon or some earlier cycle. Each Full Moon reminds us of the seeds that may be coming to maturity, to their fullness, to fruition, to the place where the fruits or gifts are received. It may seem that fulfillment of our goals takes a long time. Some intentions may manifest within the two week phase prior to the next New or Full Moon. Some however, depending on their complexity, may take a much longer time. Just remember that our thoughts and emotions set Universal Action in motion and much work takes place behind the scenes as everything is orchestrated for fulfillment. Keep visualizing your goals as though you have already attained them and they will eventually manifest. Do not concern yourself with current conditions or worry about controlling it. The universe takes care of those details. Just keep seeing what you want, and move in that direction with your actions, and give no energy to what you don't want. Patience is required.
PERSONAL MOON CEREMONY Find the time to have your own private Moon Ceremony. You have a three day window of energy in which to manifest your intentions. The day before, the day of, and the day after.
For the Full Moon, jot down two or three areas of your life you want to clean up. The Full Moon is the time to release or get rid of the things that no longer serve you, so by the next New Moon your slate is clean for new beginnings, or fertile for the planting of new seeds.
Possible phrasing: I now release______ from my life. I now release my destructive ________ patterns. I now let go of fear, jealousy, anger, envy, negative thinking, etc... Remember, think and envision as though you have already let go of what you have released. See yourself free and living your dreams. Thoughts are things and the brain manifests exactly what you show it in the form of thoughts and visuals about yourself. The Buddha said, and I am paraphrasing, "We are the sum total of our thoughts up to today. " If we want to be different then we must change our thoughts. What you think about grows!! "If you always do what you've always done, then you'll always get what you've always got." CONSCIOUS CHANGE is the key.

The Water signs, Cancer, Pisces and Scorpio will dominate the world stage in 2013, as several of the planets will be traveling through the Zodiac  in water signs.  The line up is as follows:
Neptune in Pisces until 2026
Saturn in Scorpio until 2015
Jupiter in Cancer, the second half of the year
Mercury retrogrades in Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio respectively
Moon’s North Node in Scorpio all year

Water is the fundamental and most basic component of all life on Planet Earth, comprising approximately 70% of the surface of the Earth and also the human body. It represents the feminine or yin aspects of human nature and the world; intuition, inspiration, wisdom, women and healing, the inner journey of life.  Water also controls our emotional bodies and our creative ability.
Enter the Goddess
With so much astrological emphasis in water, we can expect a global shift toward feminine power. The
The Goddess Principle
Goddess energy will become much more visible and viable bringing the pendulum swing back to a more centered approach, moving away from male or masculine dominance.  This could open the way for more women to rise to positions of power.  If you are feeling a strong desire to have your voice heard as a woman, now could well be the time to put your plans into action.
With Jupiter entering the sign of Cancer in June, all of the feminine energies associated with Cancer will be enhanced and magnified.  They include home (the real estate market), family, mothering, sensitivity to spirit, intuition, clairvoyance, clairaudience and psychic ability.  Water seems to thin the veil.
Emotional Chaos
You may find yourself feeling everything more acutely. We will most likely see more intense dramatic emotional displays in the news,  and perhaps feel more emotionally connected to everything in our world and what we see happening before us.
With all of the Mercury retrogrades occurring in water signs, tripling the time Mercury spends in water, we may all find that our mental energies and communications are based more on emotion rather than on reason or objectivity. I tell you these things so you can be aware of where your emotions may be coming from.  This does not mean that you should react to them and be swept away by the emotional tide.  Your ability to control how you respond to your emotions is your greatest place of power and peace.
Since water also contains the elements of creativity, governing the Arts and what we see in movies, television, books and art,  with Neptune in Pisces, supported by other planetary action in water, we should be treated to not only creative media, but inspirational and more spiritual entertainment as well.
Disruptive Forces
Protest
On the other side of Neptune in Pisces, and mixing in the energies of Saturn in Scorpio, we will see more economic contraction and more cutbacks on spending, and a continuing of behind-the-scenes governmental and corporate power struggles, with an emphasis on healthcare, pharmaceutical companies and their drug related problems, issues with liquid resources, raising sea levels and flooding, and conflict over price hikes in oil, gas and water.  We will also continue to experience religious polarization, issues surrounding mental health disorders, and an increase in denial, personally and institutionally.   When adding Scorpio to any mix,  exposing the corrupt underbelly and crisis will be the result.
The Moon’s nodes are not planets yet represent important crossing points for the Sun and Moon. The North Node is traditionally linked to the future. With the North Node in deep and disruptive Scorpio, reaching an inevitable  intense and powerful crisis point is foreseeable.  Change is inevitable and these changes are meant to be for our greatest good and require our active participation.
Uranus square Pluto continues to dominate world energies through rebellion and political crisis.  These disruptive and often unpredictable energies will continue through 2015.  With an over emphasis on water in 2013, emotions will continue to rise and overflow, and the dam could well break causing violent behavior and uprisings. Since ancient times, water has been used ritualistically to wash away the sins of the past, hopefully this will be done in a kind and gentle way.
A Rare Grand Sextile
There is however, a beautiful and rare alignment to look forward to,
Grand Sextile
occurring in late July, called a Grand Sextile. Seven out of ten planets will be involved in this positive configuration. It is comprised of  six sextiles, two Grand Trines,  and three oppositions. This will create a tremendous force for healing energy on the planet as all the players are in earth or water signs, which are feminine, a sign that the feminine forces are blessing us with love and grace, helping to offset other negative aspects.
Even though we have passed the critical and much maligned 2012 marker, in 2013 we will continue to see and feel the uncomfortable energies of dramatic change.  When dealing with emotional water, we can expect big waves and choppy seas, and even tsunamis.  Let’s all put our creative and spiritual sides forward and be steady and undeterred by the shifting tides before us and move forward creating the new, more peaceful world, we want to experience.   Follow your heightened inspiration and creative impressions and put your plans into action and 2013 can be a very powerful and successful year.

Facebook and the Lord

Take a moment to read this. You won't be sorry.

In the year 2013, the Lord came unto Noah, Who was now living in America and said:
"Once again, the earth has become wicked and over-populated, and I see the end of all flesh before me."
"Build another Ark and save 2 of every living thing along with a few good humans."

He gave Noah the blueprints, saying:
"You have 6 months to build the Ark before I will start the unending rain for 40 days and 40 nights."

Six months later, the Lord looked down and saw Noah weeping in his yard - but no Ark."Noah!," He roared, "I'm about to start the rain! Where is the Ark?"

"Forgive me, Lord," begged Noah, "but things have changed."
"I needed a Building Permit."
"I've been arguing with the Boat Inspector about the need for a sprinkler system."

"My homeowners association claim that I've violated the
Neighborhood by-laws by building the Ark in my back yard and exceeding the height limitations. We had to go to the local Planning Committee for a decision."

"Then the City Council and the Electricity Company demanded a shed load of money for the future costs of moving power lines and other overhead obstructions, to clear the passage for the Ark's move to the sea. I told them that the sea would be coming to us, but they would hear none of it."

"Getting the wood was another problem. There's a ban on cutting local trees in order to save the Greater Spotted Barn Owl."
"I tried to convince the environmentalists that I needed the wood to save the owls - but no go!"

"When I started gathering the animals, PETA took me to court. They insisted that I was confining wild animals against their will. They argued the accommodations were too restrictive and it was cruel and inhumane to put so many animals in a confined space."

"Then the Environmental Protection Agency ruled that I couldn't build the Ark until they'd conducted an environmental impact study on Your proposed flood."

"I'm still trying to resolve a complaint with the Human Rights Commission on how many minorities I'm supposed to hire for my building crew."

"The Immigration Dept. Is checking the visa status of most of the people who want to work."
"The labor unions say I can't use my sons. They insist I have to hire only union workers with ark-building experience."

"To make matters worse, the IRS seized all my assets, claiming I'm trying to leave the country illegally with endangered species."
"So, forgive me, Lord, but it would take at least 10 years for me to finish this ark."

"Suddenly the skies cleared, the sun began to shine and a rainbow stretched across the sky."

Noah looked up in wonder and asked, "You mean you're not going to destroy the world?"

"No," said the Lord. " The Government beat me to it."

Emily's Gems

The Elements Gemstones

http://crystal-cure.com/element-stones.html

The elements are the forces of nature that express the energies existing on Earth. These are Earth, Fire, Wind (Air), Water and Storm. Earth's energy is released through it's minerals and stones. Gemstones vibrate to a wide range of energies existing in the elemental forces of nature.

Plato believed that the four elements were intertwined, and could pass from one to another. He wrote: "Let us begin with what we now call water. We see it, or we suppose, solidifying into stones and earth, and again dissolving and evaporating into wind and air."
The elements have been regarded as principles and forces with specific meanings for many centuries.

The Greek philosopher Empedocles recorded these in his book On Nature. He believed that nothing came to be or ceased to be, but that everything was in an eternal state of change.

New Moon, You saw me standing Alone...

http://www.wendycicchetti.com/
Wendy Cicchetti, astrologer extraordinaire
April 10, 2013

Greetings,

Taking responsibility for our emotions is our job. This can be especially difficult when everything seems out of control and circumstance don't meet our expectations. The energies for widespread emotional breakdowns are increasing and intensifying. I hear this daily from clients all over the world and am feeling them myself. I even overheard talk of it while waiting at the Doctors office, as the receptionist unloaded on the nurse about all the intense and emotional calls coming in.

Emotions are the greatest attracter of compatible energies; if we are angry, fearful, paranoid and over thinking, we will attract more of the same into our experience. Focus on the present moment as much as you can. Stay busy and balanced and work only on those things you have the power to change. Be honest and realistic about what you have power over. And always remember, you can only change yourself and your thoughts, not the behavior of others and their interaction with you.

We were not promised that life would be fun, fair or easy. We do know however, that life is a school and we either learn the lessons before us and move forward, or avoid them and put the learning off for another life or time. Let's work together, sharing our knowledge and love, to help make the lessons our ally rather than our enemy.

Until next time, stay positive, be fearless and spread your light and love. XO

ARIES NEW MOON, April 10, 2013 at 2:36 am PDT and 5:36 am EDT at 21 degrees.

We’ve never been here before. Like the Fool card in the Tarot, and the hero in Avatar, we step into what looks like thin air and find new ground beneath our feet.

The zodiac symbolizes the eternal spin of creation and the infinite potential of the cosmos. The word zodiac means “wheel of life.” The twelve signs delineate the stages of a never-ending journey, from alpha to omega, the emergence from and return to the Source. Each New Moon initiates a new cycle; this one signals a huge shift, as the Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars, and Uranus, are all clustered in the sign of the Trailblazer. Aries is the first sign in the zodiac, representing new beginnings and new forms. This New Moon is an especially important time to set intentions and to hold “Beginner’s Mind.” Letting go of our preconceptions and “shoulds” enables us to find new solutions to old problems. We are surrounded by boundless possibilities. Embrace the mystery of the present moment. Take one step at a time. Be willing to not know the answer, and remember that there is no failure, only learning.

Aries, along with its ruling planet Mars, symbolizes the development of our yang, masculine side. The ultimate goal of Aries is to become a wise warrior who seeds and protects life, rather than exploiting and destroying it — to be coura- geous but not combative, assertive without being aggressive. Regardless of our gender, we all have inner masculine and feminine sides, which must be in balance for evolution to occur. Mars’ close conjunction with Venus emphasizes the need to fully integrate our active and recep- tive sides.

Pluto, the higher octave of Mars, begins its yearly retro- grade on April 12, stationing at 11°35' Capricorn and turn- ing direct on September 20 at 8°59' Capricorn. Its station retrograde intensifies the call to action of this New Moon and adds urgency to the ongoing Uranus–Pluto message to make changes real, not just cosmetic. In Capricorn, Pluto spurs us to reform or release what is not sustainable, not in the best interests of all concerned, challenging governments to restructure and individuals to contribute their unique talents toward birthing the Aquarian Age. Pluto and Saturn are in mutual reception (transiting each other’s signs), pressuring all of us to reclaim our power and become conscious creators of our reality. Saturn, the principle of authority and responsibility, forms a quincunx to Uranus, the energy of autonomy and progress (exact on April 12 at 9º20' Scorpio–Aries). A quincunx requires that we make a shift in perspective and strategy; in this case, we are impelled to “Think Different” and carefully consider the ramifications of our actions.

This New Moon at 21° Aries emphasizes the need to channel our energy appropriately. What are you most passionate about? Where do you need to take a stand? Lily Tomlin sums up this time well: “I said somebody should do something about that. Then I realized I am somebody.”

Some excerpts are from The Mountain Astrologer by Stephanie Austin.

PLAN YOUR OWN NEW MOON CEREMONY. Give yourself some quiet time in meditation to see where you need to seed new ways of becoming. List these areas within your life you want to change. What areas do you want to break free from the norm and become more productive and discerning? The NEW MOON is the time to manifest the personal attributes you want to cultivate as well as the tangible things you want to bring to you. Possible phrasing: I now manifest ____ into my life. I am now _______ . Remember, think, envision and feel with as much emotion as possible, as though you already have what you want. Thoughts are things and the brain manifests exactly what you show it in the form of thoughts, visuals and emotions. The Buddha said, and I am paraphrasing, "We are the sum total of our thoughts up to today. " If we want to be different then we must change our thoughts. "If you always do what you've always done then you'll always get what you've always got." CONSCIOUS CHANGE is the key.

Opportunity Periods for the next 2 weeks are listed below and are a wonderful tool to maximize your efforts. Opportunity Periods reflect favorable aspects of the Moon. The energies of the Moon impact us in a very direct way. Using the positive energies that the Moon showers upon the Earth, to our benefit, makes good sense. Opportunity Periods have proven to provide helpful energy to non routine tasks. If you feel like you are always going against the grain and things are stressful, try using these time periods for more easily accomplishing important tasks: purchases, repairs, client appointments, sales calls, important phone calls, finishing goals, starting new projects, tying up loose ends, starting new relationships (except when Venus is Retrograde), job hunting, doctor visits, family meetings, etc.

I personally use OPs and find them to be invaluable. I am happy to pass on this unique and useful information. Very few Astrologers are aware of OPs as the formula for their calculation is not widely known. This information will help you stay ahead of the game. A complete list for the year is available. Dr Jeff Rubin!

How to Be a Behavioral Buddha

Ordinarily when we can't handle powerful feelings such as pain or fear we avoid them because they overwhelm us or make us feel bad. This creates a self-reinforcing cycle of anxiety and avoidance, guilt and shame. What I call Behavioral Buddhism is my own way of using certain core principles of classical Buddhist meditation to constructively challenge this destructive pattern because it teaches us how to consciously develop the capacity to sit with, just be with, what we once avoided.
Human experience, according to one version of the classical Buddhist model of the mind, occurs in one of six areas -- the five senses plus thinking. If we add "feeling" then we have seven potential domains to pay attention to.
Try this experiment. Take a piece of paper and make seven columns down the page. Think about areas of experience that are easiest and hardest for you to handle. Now list them at the top of each column -- going from easiest to most difficult. For example, if sound is easier to handle than sight, write it on the left. If feelings are harder to handle than sight, write it on the right. Do this with the five senses as well as thinking and feeling.
Now do the same thing within each column -- write the easiest type of experience within each category on the top row and the hardest on the bottom. For example, if the first column is sound, your favorite music might be easiest sound to handle, which would be listed in the top row of the column followed by something slightly more difficult, say police sirens outside your home, or cellphones nearby when you are trying to concentrate. Jackhammers outside your home when you are trying to work might be underneath. At the bottom of the column, write the most difficult sound, say screaming. In the "feeling" column joy might be at the top of the column and shame and humiliation might be at the bottom.
Which of the above seven zones of experience (the five senses plus thinking and feeling) are you most comfortable with? Write it in the top left-hand box. Pick the next area of the seven that you are most comfortable with and write it in the next topmost box. Continue until you have filled in all seven boxes across the top of the chart. The last box on the right will contain the realm you are least comfortable in.
Now do the same thing within each column. Starting under each of the seven zones of experience write in the top box the easiest experience to tackle within that area. Underneath the top box, list a slightly more difficult experience. Underneath that, list an even more challenging one. Beneath that, list a harder experience. On the bottom row, list the hardest experience within that zone of experience. What we now have is a chart of the seven different zones of experience and a descending list of challenging aspects of each. Take the first item in the first column, for example, sight. The easiest may be a beautiful landscape, a more challenging one could be something that you don't find attractive, and the most difficult one might be a sight that disturbs you, say pictures of bloodshed or children living in poverty.
Do a few minutes of yogic breathing followed by meditating on your favorite music. Sit in a comfortable chair and try to really hear the music when you are listening to it. If your mind wanders, return without any judgment to concentrating on the music.
What we usually don't realize is that we can grow our capacity for equanimity -- for sitting with and through challenging experiences. If we can open to the easiest aspect of one of the seven areas of experience -- for example, favorite music -- then we can be receptive to something slightly more difficult. If we can do that, then we can open to something harder because it is the same capacity -- one that can be trained.
The way to practice behavioral Buddhism is to work down the first column on the left -- your easiest domain of experience -- until you feel you can handle more difficult experiences. Move on to the next column when you feel comfortable. And so on.
What you will discover is that not only will your faith in your resilience grow, but you will become more open to the full range of human experience.. And as you do, your world will enlarge and you will literally become more responsible, more capable of responding to a greater range of experience without either getting lost in it or pushing it away.
